Sr Program Manager Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for government programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of programs, monitoring progress, and addressing challenges to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, subject matter experts, and external partners, to achieve program goals.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the program lifecycle.
- Develop and manage program budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Foster strong relationships with CDC and other government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to enhance program success.
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on program status and addressing concerns.
- Lead and inspire project teams, providing guidance and support to achieve high-performance results.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with program delivery, implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Evaluate program outcomes and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Experience with government Requests for Proposals (RFP) development
- Experience with identifying and leading capture efforts related to HHS business opportunities.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Sr Program Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience directly managing HHS programs, preferably with the CDC or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience collaborating and directing a distributed team and managing multiple customers, programs, and projects.
- Proven knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of design and drafting practices and fabrication and field construction techniques is required.
- Working knowledge of Quality Assurance principles is required.
- Working knowledge of federal and state codes/guidelines is required.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other professional licensure, registration, or certification is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be US citizens.
- Must be able to pass a US federal government background investigation and a drug screen.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
