Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Control Officer to join our team. As an Animal Control Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing animal control laws and regulations, ensuring the safety and welfare of animals and the community. Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations into reports of animal cruelty, neglect, or abuse
- Capture and safely handle animals in various situations
- Provide emergency response for injured or aggressive animals
- Enforce local ordinances and state laws related to animal control
- Respond to calls from the public regarding stray or nuisance animals
- Conduct routine patrols to identify potential animal-related issues
- Educate the public on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations effectively
- Knowledge of animal care and behavior
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and humanely
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and public interactions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical fitness to perform duties such as lifting heavy objects, walking long distances, and climbing
