SUMMARY
Clean assigned hotel rooms. Provide outstanding guest service, ensuring exceptional hotel guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:
- Cleans and sanitizes hotel rooms which involves, but is not limited to, collecting and replacing soiled linens and cleaning and replenishing bathrooms.
- Responds to guest questions and requests.
- Identifies and reports all damages in a timely manner to supervisor or security.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Completes all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
- Keeps all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
- Ensures all employee access doors are always closed.
- Reports all missing items from rooms (i.e. irons/boards, hair dryers, etc.) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
- Reports Lost and Found items to Housekeeping promptly or in a timely manner.
- Reports any maintenance issues to supervisor or appropriate department.
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 years of housekeeping experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to maintain a professional status through interface with customers.
- Ability to be detail oriented and have a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper storage and usage.
- Knowledge of biohazards and required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to maintain interdepartmental relationships.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled setting and involves considerable physical strain due to substantial standing, walking, pushing and pulling bulky housekeeping carts for long periods of time. Work requires lifting objects up to 50lbs and mental and visual efforts due to the nature of the job. Work will require varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
