What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Cherrywood Village?
Dietary Aides at Cherrywood Park Parkview are responsible for delivering an exceptional dining experience to residents and guests. The Dietary Aide ensures the Dining Room is welcoming by adhering to cleanliness standards and providing prompt and courteous meal service. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation. Incorporates Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.
SCOPE OF JOB TASKS:
- Ensures meals meet dietary expectations for each resident
- Transfers food and dishes between floors of the establishment to residents
- Sets tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware
- Cleans tabletops, chairs, and server area
- Makes coffee and fills fruit juice dispensers
- Sweeps and mop floors
- Completes daily and weekly cleaning duties
- Other duties as assigned
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Education:
- A high school diploma or GED is desired
Experience:
- Experience with Memory Care residents is preferred
- No previous experience is required
Qualifications:
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Physical demands:
- Workday - 8 hours
- Stands - often, up to 8 hours
- Sits - occasional
- Walks - often, short distances
- Bends - often
- Stairs - occasional, but not required
- Climbs - seldom
- Kneels - seldom
- Lifts - often, up to 25lbs
- Repetitive hand/foot - occasional
Supervision:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions:
- May be exposed to hot, humid, sometimes dangerous conditions such as fire, chemicals, hot water, hot equipment, knives, etc.
- May be exposed to slippery floors and strong odors
- May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.
- Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
