Position Overview: An HVAC Service & Controls Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in controls design and programming, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position covers West Richmond, Fredericksburg to Manassas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Design and program control systems to optimize energy efficiency and overall system performance.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, controls, and sensors.
  • Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and analyze data for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement energy management strategies to reduce operational costs.
  • Stay current with building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
  • Interact with clients to understand their HVAC requirements and provide technical support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all HVAC systems, including manuals, schematics, and maintenance records.
  • Conduct training sessions for maintenance personnel and end-users.
  • Respond to emergency calls and resolve critical issues affecting HVAC systems.

Qualifications:

  • 1-4 years with Commercial HVAC and controls
  • Prior experience working with a variety of tools and instruments such as gauges, multimeters, leak detectors, and power tools to perform tasks.
  • Proficiency in controls design and programming, including experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient technologies and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
