Responsible for coordinating and supervising the overall function of the Nuclear Medicine Department. Maintain federal and state regulations governing hospital's radioactive material license. Maintain clinical competence through periodic involvement in direct patient activities, utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development as appropriate for the population served.   Supervise, monitor and evaluate the technical function of the department, including; scheduling and functioning of the technical staff, scheduling of patients and coordinating with the front desk, and preventive maintenance programs for assigned equipment. Assist the Associate Director in the budgeting and long-range planning process regarding the Nuclear Medicine area, control inventory of technical supplies, working within budgetary restrictions, and coordinate purchasing/inventory control activities with materials management. Assist in interviewing and hiring of technical staff, conduct performance appraisals and make recommendations to the Associate Director regarding disciplinary matters.  Mediate individual personnel concerns and refer to the Associate Director of Radiology any unresolved problems relating to staffing, scheduling, work methods, morale, procedures, safety and other issues regarding Nuclear Medicine personnel.

Qualifications:  Graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology or AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology and/or equivalent educational level.  Minimum of one year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.   Supervisory experience preferred. Registration in Nuclear Medicine required within 1 year of hire date.  Current license with the New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.  CPR certification must be acquired and maintained within 3 months of hire date and updated annually
