PACU Registered Nurse - No Call/Weekends!

We are looking for Registered Nurses to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Our PACU provides compassionate, quality care to patients after surgery or other procedures that involve sedation. As a part of our excellent team, you will provide care to both adult and pediatric patients recovering from a wide range of procedures, with about 80 percent of them being outpatients.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment in the PACU.
• Monitor patients for changes in status and indications of conditions, including respiratory depression, and institute appropriate interventions.
• Provide post-surgical education to patients, create & maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment, and monitor the patient’s physical and emotional well-being throughout the surgical care continuum.
• Document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment.
• Work alongside other departments to ensure the continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• Active RN License.

Schedule:

• Our PACU is staffed from 7:30 am to 8 pm, with the remaining hours covered by on-call staff.
• You can expect a flexible work schedule, and even the ability to set your own schedule.
• Monday-Friday, NO WEEKENDS!
