Your Next Great Adventure
The Estimator will work closely with Vice Presidents of Purchasing, Construction, and Construction Managers to accurately estimate materials and costs for residential construction projects. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of construction management principles to ensure projects are completed within budget. The Estimator will prepare detailed material takeoffs, analyze project plans, collaborate with various teams, and review estimates for accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to streamline estimating processes, stay current with industry trends, and assist with new plan developments and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Success Is Built On
- Five (5) years’ experience as a construction estimator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating software. Bluebeam, Procore, Sage Estimating, or similar software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Primary understanding of Texas construction laws, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering details.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- College Degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field is often preferred.
