Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Social Media Content & Community Engagement Associate to join our team in NYC. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media content and community engagement strategies to drive brand awareness, student engagement, and business growth. This is a part-time position (20 hours/week) with the potential for increased hours over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement social media content calendar across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok)
• Create high-quality, engaging content ( graphics, videos, captions) that resonates with our target audience (students, parents, and educators)
• Manage and respond to social media inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement community engagement initiatives, including social media contests, giveaways, and events
• Monitor and report on social media analytics to track performance and inform future content and engagement strategies
• Assist in content creation for email marketing campaigns, blog posts, and other marketing materials as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, best practices, and platform changes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing or a related field\
• Proficiency in social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.) and graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong creative and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with NYC education landscape and private tutoring industry a plus
• Local candidate with ability to work in our Brooklyn office 20 hours/week (with potential for increased hours over time)

Nice to Have:

• Basic video editing skills
• Knowledge of SEO principles and how to apply them to social media content
• Certification in social media marketing (Facebook Blueprint, Hootsuite Social Media Marketing, etc.)
