What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Business Analyst position at Chevo Consulting?
Chevo is currently hiring an IT Business Analyst to join our expanding firm. This position will provide the opportunity to establish standards and best practices by which the organization will effectively manage the portfolio and better serve the end users and customers. The ideal candidate will be skilled with working independently on federal technical assignments and projects, produce high-quality deliverables, and meet deadlines. Complex problem-solving skills and experience with organizational change management are needed. This position will be a primarily remote environment with potential to meet the client in-person in Washington, D.C. or report to Chevo Headquarters in Rockville, MD as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Effective collaboration with clients to plan, develop, and implement requirements
- Responsible for project schedules, implementation, change management adoption and integration, and other duties as needs evolve
- Author new or updated processes or procedures, including guidance and control documents, and implement best practices into the enterprise
- Interview clients to understand needs and develop business process models, functionality mapping, and strategic communications
- Track all phases of the lifecycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing
- Establish, monitor, measure, and evaluate performance metrics
- Produce high-quality documentation including but not limited to status reports, program charter, work breakdown structure, organizational readiness plan, training plans, lessons learned reports, strategic roadmaps and operating models, and risk/issue register
Required Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years’ professional experience in requirements elicitation, IT project management, enterprise life cycle, organizational change management, and data analysis
- Five (5) years’ experience supporting federal government clients (internal Revenue Service experience a plus)
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information systems, business administration, computer science or other related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to pass client security clearance requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- CAPM, PMP or Agile Scrum Master certification
- ServiceNow and/or Jira experience
- SQL with C/C
- Initiative-taking individual possessing excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent client handling skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clients
