Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join our Technology Team based in Dania Beach, FL or Boston, MA. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to be a part of our Internal Tools Team. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining the ServiceNow application(s).
This ServiceNow Developer will serve a fundamental role in increasing the ROI of the platform by improving the layout and design of current portals, drive improved team member experience and utilization of the ServiceNow platform. This person will work directly with the Corporate Systems Technical Product(s) Teams to deliver technical solutions to solve business problems.
What You'll Do:
- Experience with integration of ServiceNow, development of no-code/low-code ServiceNow solutions and understanding of the architecture and business solution development on ServiceNow platform.
- Actively participate in agile daily scrums and ceremonies, updating stories daily in SNOW documenting development progress and collaborating across platform teams.
- Support and participate in customer requirement workshops, working with product owner/stakeholders to configure requested items and tasks using Flow Designer to manage processes and meet business requirements.
- Focus on driving maturity of the ITSM module & implementing advance features including virtual agent, predictive intelligence, agent workspace, service owner and vendor manger workspace, and walk-up experience.
- Create and maintain system design and operations documentation.
- Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, XML, HTML, AngularJS, Restful API, PowerShell etc.) and developing with JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong understanding of all technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including SNOW architecture, Application UI, Process and solution integration, Workflow design/ configuration, Reporting, and Integration components (SSO, LDAP, etc.).
- Experience with ServiceNow custom application/portal and Information Architecture - ServiceNow Common Services Data structures are a big plus.
- Create and implement client scripts, business rules, UI Policies, ACLs, and otherwise configure or modify ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements.
- Ability to provide input to the project’s technical documentation like Architecture Document, Implementation/Deployment plan, Security profile document etc.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience
- 6 years’ experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development of an ITSM tool.
- 4 years’ experience in ServiceNow development – experience should include scripting, tool configuration, design work, technical configuration, and deployment; specifically, candidates shall possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including the creation and/or customization of the core applications.
- 4 years with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, PHP, C, Java, HTML or HTML 5.
- Proficient in building complex flows via ServiceNow Flow Designer.
- Experience building custom applications leveraging out of the box features.
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record working with advanced development of ITSM (previous experience implementing virtual agent, predictive intelligence, agent workspace, service owner and vendor manger workspace, and walk-up experience).
- Ability to create detailed documentation.
- Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into scalable solution designs.
- Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations and priorities. Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a successful implementation.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Provide subject matter expertise/thought leadership in the ServiceNow platform and technical mentoring including training and guidance of junior staff and administrators.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute.
- Demonstrates the desire and ability to learn and utilize new technologies.
