Component Shop Supervisor
Location: Sacramento, CA
Reports To: Director of Maintenance
Helimax Aviation, Inc. is seeking a Component Shop Supervisor to join the team. The successful candidate will supervise, plan and can assist in disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and re-assembly of aircraft drive, rotor, hydraulic and accessory CH-47D components.
Job Responsibilities:
- Order aircraft parts, track parts orders, materials inventory, and communicate needs of items required to maintain aircraft components.
- Review MX forecast and plan upcoming scheduled repairs and overhauls.
- Supervise component shop mechanics in all aspects of work being accomplished in the component shop.
- Manage and ensure the repair of support equipment, tooling, and communicating needs and deficiencies is completed. Ensure that the correct tooling and equipment is being properly utilized for assigned tasks and that currently calibrated tooling is used.
- Manage the housekeeping of the maintenance facility. Report deficiencies as needed.
- Responsible for using required current Maintenance manuals, Company manuals, and other Technical Data that is current and up to date for component maintenance.
- Must have inspection and Return to Service Authority.
- Must be able to open, process and complete shop Repair Station work orders and shop traveler paperwork as required. Must be able to complete RTS documentation.
- Provide proper periodic on the job training (OJT) and proficiency checks for shop staff.
- Manage and coordinate with Quality Control (QC) primary and collateral duty inspectors as required to meet task objectives.
- Responsible for positive promotion of company policy and procedures to the work force.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Familiar with applicable FAA Regulations.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant certification are highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Required to stay current with all mandatory company assigned reading and training.
- Must be familiar with the proper completion of Repair Station Work Orders.
- Must have good attention to detail.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and MS Office
- Must have effective leadership skills.
- Experience in component overhaul desirable.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment and hand tools as needed for assigned tasks.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Able to frequently lift 50 lbs.
- May be required to travel on occasions as required.

Competitive wages – salary range for position $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. Generous benefit package.
