Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for the coordination of the RN Residency Program. The goal of the position is to ensure an outstanding quality of orientation for RNs with less than 6 months of experience and to assist in providing the necessary education program.
Qualifications
Required Education
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing – BSN required.
Active RN license in Tennessee.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Three years of experience developing curriculum incorporating simulation, case studies, lectures, etc. based on needs assessments and learners’ knowledge and skill base.
PREFERRED Qualifications
Certification preferred.

The Program Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for the coordination of the RN Residency Program. The goal of the position is to ensure an outstanding quality of orientation for RNs with less than 6 months of experience and to assist in providing the necessary education program.
Qualifications
Required Education
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing – BSN required.
Required Licensure and Certifications
Active RN license in Tennessee.
BCLS provider certification.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Three years of experience developing curriculum incorporating simulation, case studies, lectures, etc. based on needs assessments and learners’ knowledge and skill base.
Three years of experience in trending data and writing and implementing action plans.
Experience in selection of equipment and supplies to be used in the orientation and onboarding of RNs.
Experience in evaluating nursing competency.
Use of general patient care and communication equipment.
Use of computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Effective conflict management techniques.
Ability to adapt to changes in health care technology.
Use of simulation as a teaching technique and ability to operate simulation equipment.
Ability to organize varying schedules and multiple resources.
PREFERRED Qualifications
Certification preferred.
