As an integral member of CHI Health, the Data Analyst Population Health supports successful execution of project implementations that involve data interchanges between systems and external data sources in pursuit of designing, tracking and evaluating population health improvement initiatives. This role supports social care integration programs and may work directly both with internal/ external CommonSpirit resources, including CHI Health Partners, the Creighton Population Health Institute and vendor(s) supporting Population Health Technology tools.

This role will advise on required inputs into population health technology tools in a way that facilitates reporting needs for downstream stakeholders. This role will also serve as a resource for social care integration program end users to ensure the Population Health Technology tools are utilized and working effectively as intended. Will serve as the liaison for the staff members to coordinate issue resolution and workflows to ensure successful utilization of technology tools.

In addition, the Data Analyst Population Health will assist as requested in gathering information from data sources to support ad-hoc data analytics, as well as assisting in the compilation and reconciliation of standard ongoing social care programs’ monthly reporting. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Healthcare Administration or related field. Formal education in programming languages (SQL, etc.) desired. Formal training or hands on experience in EPIC Clarity desired.

Responsibilities

Data Analyst for Population Health

  • NOT A REMOTE POSITION**
  • Furnishes routine and ad hoc data analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinates and analyzes data feeding for accuracy and consults with other employees and vendors/payers as needed.
  • Coordinates and analyzes data outputs for accuracy and quality.
  • Makes recommendations to leadership on opportunities for improvement of data quality. Implement change efforts related to data quality as directed by leadership by interacting with subject matter experts supporting the various data sources (EMRs, payers and vendors).
  • Researches best practices for data structure, reporting and analytics involving health and social care integration.
  • Consults with leadership regarding project priorities, timelines and assignments.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge applications, systems and programs.
  • Manually, automated when possible, aggregates and standardizes data from disparate data systems as needed to support data analysis reporting that must be done outside of existing systems.
  • Builds new reports needed for grant reporting.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information obtained from database and hospital sources.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. Two years health care or data analytics experience, recommended.

Pay Range

$29.02 - $42.08 /hour
