Job Summary: As a Cashier at Chicago Waffles, you are the frontline of guest interaction, ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner.
- Provide accurate information on menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Handle guest inquiries with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service.
- Greeting and Seating:
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
- Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover and maintain an organized flow.
- Reservations and Waiting List:
- Handle reservations, especially for groups.
- Accurately maintain a waiting list for walk-in guests and coordinate with waitstaff.
- Assist guests with inquiries about wait times and special requests.
- Cash Handling:
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cash drawer, ensuring it balances at the start and end of each shift.
- Issue receipts and provide correct change.
- Order Management:
- Enter orders into the POS system, ensuring accuracy.
- Manage phone orders and communicate details to the kitchen and waitstaff.
- Monitor and anticipate guest needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with restaurant, bar, and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth service flow.
- Assist in other areas as needed during peak hours.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Essential:
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Familiarity with POS systems and telephone etiquette.
- A friendly and positive demeanor.
- Punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Desirable:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in customer service, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Food Handler Certification.
Essential Physical Abilities:
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Stand and/or walk continuously during the shift.
- Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
Essential Job Functions:
