Overview:
The Lead Learning and Development Data Architect is a member of the DTT Shared Platform – Analytics & Risk team within the Digital Transformation & Technology (DTT) department. Chick-fil-A has heavily invested in Analytics and Data Literacy in all areas of the business. The DTT Analytics and Risk team accelerates informed insights by centralizing and unlocking data across the Enterprise and supporting our Enterprise Analytics Teams, DTT Development Pods, and Business Area Analysts. This position will design and deploy solutions that drive analytic business outcomes by optimizing collection, storage, and insights of learning experiences, achievements and job performance for our restaurant and support center team members. They will convert complex and siloed data from multiple learning and development systems into useful information for analysts and decision makers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire learning and development data lifecycle from team member learning interactions to consolidated insights that help to improve the overall experience for Restaurant Team Members with Chick-fil-A’s learning platforms.
- Responsible for designing enterprise data pipelines that load Chick-fil-A learning experiences into a Learning Record Store (LRS) and our organizational Data Lake.
- Interpret the language and objectives of business stakeholders into scalable data and analytic solutions.
- Conceptualize, visualize, design and model how enterprise learning and development data is used in analytics within the Chick-fil-A Analytics ecosystem and framework.
- Architect enterprise data pipeline solutions optimized and curated for analytics on learning and development data with scalability in mind.
- Communicate and present information in a non-technical manner to internal customers and business stakeholders.
- Enable visibility into how analytics data is being used and who has access to the organization’s learning and development data.
- Prove out new analytics capabilities within the Learning and Development Ecosystem.

- Experience in data architecture and design, for both structured and unstructured data; data modeling, architecting and delivering highly-scalable and flexible, cost-effective, cloud-based enterprise data solutions.
- Deep database knowledge and proficient with SQL
- Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (i.e. Python); understanding of Apache Spark/Hadoop, relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data analytics, BI, data reporting and visualization, all aspects of data management: data governance, data mastering, data warehousing, database management, and meta-data management.
- Experience designing and implementing data ingestion techniques for real-time and batch data pipelines from disparate data sources.
- Experience with ETL tools.
- Experience with the agile development methodology.
- Ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
- Familiar with developing and implementing data models for analytic use
- Keen eye for systems thinking and process design, especially with respect to scalability and automation
- Experience with AWS big data technology stack and cloud-based architecture
- Familiarity with learning record store (LRS) systems
- Understand how learning and training organization’s function
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field of study
