SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for the management of contract billing information and database including service authorizations, submission of billing invoices for payment, processing of billing summaries and progress notes, and preparation of various reports for management.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- High school plus additional training equal to 2 years of college, which requires knowledge of a specialized field or may lead to licensing (data processing, accounting, human services), or formalized apprenticeship program. For example, certified substance abuse counselor, bookkeeper, etc.
- Other (Specify): Bachelor's degree in accounting or information management preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Over two years, up to and including four years.
- Other (Specify): Two (2) years experience in information management or accounting.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Able to work independently and professionally with all levels of staff.

Strong computer database skills.
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification.
- This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.
