Position Description
This position supports the work of Child Care Aware of Minnesota Professional Development Delivery system. This includes supporting statewide Child Care Aware districts with planning, scheduling, trainer recruitment, and oversight of the Professional Development Advisors.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Coordinate all CCA Professional Development components (Plan, Support, and Advise), including prioritizing and guiding tasks, scheduling and facilitating workgroups and meetings, and reporting on the work activities.
· Utilize methods such as phone, email, virtual meetings, in-person (as allowable), and webinars to provide information to Child Care Aware of Minnesota Professional Development Delivery systems with questions on curriculum, scheduling, and trainers.
· Host and facilitate monthly meetings utilizing Teams or Zoom with statewide Child Care Aware Professional Development districts.
· Work in collaboration with Child Care Aware Coordinating Office staff to track training trends and data to report to the Department of Human Services, Child Development Services.
· Provide oversight and serve as a liaison to the Workforce Director around progress and evaluation of the training system’s needs and recommendations.
2. Facilitate the ongoing development of recommended policies and standard procedures for the Child Care Aware Professional Development delivery system.
· Provide information and resources to local districts on trainer recruitment and training delivery standards and expectations.
· Provide guidance on policies, standard procedures, and contract deliverables when necessary to Professional Development delivery system.
3. Support Professional Development advisors on the implementation of Parent Aware.
· Work with Department of Human Services staff and the Coordinating Office and Workforce Advising Coordinator internal staff to effectively execute the Professional Development advising model.
· Utilize methods such as phone, email, virtual meetings, in-person (as allowable), and webinars to provide information to Child Care Aware of Minnesota Professional Development Delivery systems with questions advising on Parent Aware and Professional Development advising.
· Co-host statewide advisor meetings in collaboration with the Empower to Educate staff for the Professional Development Advisors.
· Conduct monthly check-ins with Professional Development Advisors in collaboration with Empower to Educate staff.
4. Support the organization’s mission, vision, strategic plan and anti-racism goals by participating in activities and professional development opportunities.
· Participate in staff meetings, workgroups, or taskforces to assist with achieving the organization’s goals.
· Assist CCA with implementing the organization's strategic plans by embedding the goals into everyday work.
· Participate in professional development activities to strengthen your understanding and skills around diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in education or related field, or equivalent training and experience
· Strong advising or counseling skills
· Demonstrated intercultural competency skills and experience working cross-culturally, and experience incorporating the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion into your work
· Working knowledge of basic MS Office and Google programs
· Customer Service skills
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
· Flexibility with the evolving changes and needs of the Child Care Aware of Minnesota system and the work
Preferred
· Program management experience
· Experience using Excel, PowerPoint and ability to use and understand data
· Understanding of Early Childhood
· Independent worker/comfortable working with staff in remote locations
Working Conditions
· Hours per week: 40 hours per week exempt
· Flexible scheduling, with occasional non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends
· Family-friendly work culture

· Occasional travel within metro area

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range
· Hiring range of $43, 617.00- to $51,251.00 annually
