We are looking for a candidate who is a positive influence and motivates others to do their best every day! Our director effectively manages the day-to-day operations to ensure quality throughout the center.
The work you do is vitally important and makes a difference in the lives of children, families, and our staff.
Responsibilities:
This position has the responsibility for managing the overall operation of the child care center including:
The recruitment and development of staff and staff culture; management of and conformance to all policies and programs relative both to human resource management and child care; child safety, environmental and health/hygiene as required for licensing as well as all other internal policies of the day care center.
As the Center Director you must ensure your center follows all state standards set forth in the texas minimum standards as well as safety principles.
In addition to leading a team and being a role model, you must be able to fulfill all child care responsibilities which include:
lead a group of children in crafts and games, responsibly supervision children, follow all safety practices, facilitate transitions into and out of the center, physically pick up a child, clean and sanitize, prepare and serve meals, exercise good judgement and have fun! Our goal is to maintain a safe and fun environment where children wish to return again and again!
Skills:
Great customer skills are required.
The Center Director is the face of our center which requires excellent oral and written communication skills! You must be able to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and pass a background check.
A professional demeanor with staff, parents and children is required at all times.
You must demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a pleasant, energetic attitude that brings families back time and time again!! Above all -you must enjoy being actively engaged with children!! At At least, one year as an assistant center director in a licensed childcare center.
Director certificate is a must. We are willing to support renewing director certification if you had one.
