Billing and Collections Manager

To provide record-keeping, process timely and accurate billing, and collect all fees and tuition for all families of The Child Development Center at Timberlake.

• Must be of Christian faith with a heart for the vision of ministry.
• Part-time, hourly, non-exempt (hours not to exceed 20 per week)
• Hours vary based on weekly and monthly billing and collections activity as well as seasonal operations.
• Work can be done primarily remote and on campus to provide flexibility and efficiency.
• Must report on-site as needed to collect payments for recording and make deposits.

• Actively assume responsibility for all aspects of billing and collections for The Child Development Center.

• Bill tuition and fees and process payments weekly using a web-based Student Management System.

• Record deposits and journal entries in QuickBooks.

• Proactively resolve conflicts and concerns of parents as it relates to billing and collections.

• Communicate with families, directors, and staff to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.

• Create an environment where families trust financial transactions are accurate and confidential.

• Establish and maintain a positive rapport with parents and family members.

• Reconcile the Student Management System family account transactions with QuickBooks financial records monthly.

• Annually review and implement policies regarding billing and collections, including security deposits, registration fees, returned checks, late fees, and refunds.

• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Business Manager to determine financial assistance for families as needed.

• Assist the directors and Business Manager with budget planning and analysis for revenue accounts.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in an accounting or business-related field 2 years of experience with billing and collections as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and Outlook OR
• 3 years of experience with billing and collections and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and 1 year of experience working with an internet-based student account management system.
• Christian faith with a heart for Timberlake Church's vision of Christian education.
• Fluent English
