What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Specialist position at Child Guidance Resource?
The Finance Specialist is responsible for processing CGRC’s accounts payable (A/P) transactions which includes verifying approval for payment, assigning general ledger (g/l) expense codes and allocations, monitoring payment due dates, selecting invoices for payment approval, and processing & disbursing payments. The Specialist works extensively with the accounting system (Great Plans), budget software, payroll system (ADP), and MS Office Suite products.
Additional key responsibilities include:
- Reconciling accounts
- Vendor payment communication
- Vendor file management including W-9 form tracking
- Annual form preparation and distribution (1099s, W-2s)
- Ad-hoc projects related to A/P.
- Support payroll processing.
- Data entry for hours, mileage, and expense reimbursement.
- Respond to employee inquiries relating to reimbursements and payroll.
Candidate should have knowledge of Dynamics GP (Great Plains), budgeting software and MS Excel software. Experience with ADP Reporting a plus. A working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including MS Excel MS Word and MS Outlook is necessary for success in this position.
Superior organizational skills, customer service skills and professionalism in both conduct and communication are essential for success in this position.
