Position: Executive Director
Salary: $77,000 to $85,000, commensurate with experience

Educational/ Bachelor’s degree required
Experience Fundraising and grant writing
Requirements: Personnel management skills
Ability to speak to large groups
Proven presentation and organizational skills
Computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets
Preferred Experience with crisis intervention and child development
Qualifications: Experience in social work, specifically related to child abuse and neglect
Experience working for a non-profit
Experience with the criminal justice system
Proficiency with Quickbooks or other financial management programs
Duties and Responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of CACPC
Responsibilities: Maintaining funding for the CACPC with a mix of grants and fundraising
Maintaining financial records & grant billing and accounting
Implementing policies and procedures
Acting as a community liaison for the CACPC
Maintaining good communication with community partners
Overseeing human resources, including training and supervision of staff
Preparing for and attend Board of Directors meetings
Managing program development
Candidates selected for interviews will have a formal interview as well as a practical exercise. The selection process may consist of additional interviews and exercises.

Nature of work/Role of Executive Director:

Required Qualifications:
The Executive Director shall be professionally educated and competent. The Executive Director shall have a minimum of the following skills and experience:

Duties & Responsibilities {list is NOT considered all inclusive; it is subject to additions by the Board of Directors}:
A. Administrative Responsibilities:
1. Human resource management a. Trains and/or assists in scheduling training for personnel b. Supervises employee(s) of CACPC c. Manages the volunteer list and information distribution to volunteers
2. Day-to-day operations of the office

3. Licensing and affiliations a. Maintains records and documentation necessary for the CACPC to fulfill its legal and regulatory requirements
4. Works with the Board to: a. Facilitate, create and administer service programs of the CACPC b. Initiate and implement protocols utilized by all disciplines c. Assist in fundraising activities organized by volunteers and/or the Board
B. Develop and Manage CACPC and assigned staff
1. Victims and their non-offending family members a. Assist in scheduling examinations, when appropriate b. Continue the flow of communication, as directed by the multi-disciplinary team, to assure victims and their families understand the process c. Work with victims and their families giving them available information on opportunities for counseling and other services to aide in the recovery process
2. Multi-disciplinary Team a. Contact appropriate agencies and advise of scheduled child interviews b. Coordinate specialized child sexual and physical abuse training and educational programs for all agencies involved in the CACPC c. Function as liaison, coordinator and organizer for case information among law enforcement jurisdictions and CPS, for the case review team, including coordinating monthly meetings of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT)
3. Board meetings a. Reports at each regular board meeting regarding the business, services, contracts, funding, and monthly operations b. Provide documented materials and necessary information to the Board and to any
Committees as directed by the Board c. Compiles quarterly statistical reports for program evaluation, identifying successes and shortfalls, and targeting areas to work on d. Shall serve or designate another member of the staff to serve as ex-officio, non- voting member of the standing committees, advisory committees, and ad hoc committees as directed by the Board
C. Program Development:
1. Funding a. Seek, investigate and acquire information on potential grants b. Assist, supervise and/or write grant proposals c. Assist and/or organize fundraising events d. Seek, cultivate and foster relationships with potential benefactors for the CACPC
2 Advocacy a. Remain current in child abuse prevention/intervention/investigations b Foster awareness in the Board of changes, as well as working this information into something presentable to the community (where applicable) c. Attend and associate oneself with groups and organizations which may assist in the furtherance of the CACPC goals d. Compile literature and other resource materials regarding child abuse awareness and education

3. Education a. Attends local, state, national training on child sexual and physical abuse b. Utilizes the knowledge gained at these trainings to further educate the MDT,
Board, the victims and their families, and the community c. Assist, coordinate and/or organize, in cooperation with other similar community groups, education in the local schools at all grade levels
D. Community Relations and Awareness
1. Act as community liaison representing the CACPC in public relations/media activities
2. Attend pertinent community and civic group meetings
3. Work closely with Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas to keep Board and community aware of changes and/or opportunities through the CAC of Texas
E. Other Duties
1. Performs all other duties, not necessarily outlined herein, as assigned by the Board
Performance Evaluation(s):
The Executive Director will typically be formally evaluated by the Board of Directors on an annual basis.
There is a 90-day probationary employment period before the placement is considered permanent.
Employment Status: All employment relationships with the Center are of an at-will nature and may be terminated at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Nothing in any job description, employment agreement, personnel policy or future evaluation shall alter the at-will nature of this employment.
