The CAC Program Director is responsible for daily oversight and management of the Children’s Advocacy Program. All CAC program services and initiatives focus on child victims of abuse and include forensic interviews, family advocacy, multi-disciplinary team (MDT) coordination, and human trafficking education and response. The Program Director reports directly to the CAN Executive Director and assists in all duties that promote and enhance the Children’s Advocacy Center. The Program Director manages nine employees and works closely with other CAN Program Directors as needed. Duties include program data management, case management, forensic interviews, MDT involvement, court testimony, victim advocacy. Some travel to other parishes in central Louisiana is required.
Qualifications:
· College degree in criminal justice, psychology, social work, or other related field is preferred.
· A minimum of three years management experience is required.
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with community partners.
· Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with multi-disciplinary team partners.
