Responsibilities of the Position : Coordinating daily coverage for lower school teacher absences, be the first to step into sub in any classroom and arrange for coverage if multiple needs arise.
Coordinating coverage for extended program absences as needs arise. Cover classes and support in classrooms when needed.
On days when coverage isn’t needed keep a list of projects or ways to assist on campus.
This may look like but is not limited to, pushing into support classroom projects or student behaviors, relieving teachers' recess duties equitably, assisting in daily tasks such as lost and found organization and return, school lunches, transitioning students, or checking in with members of the faculty to find areas of needOrganizing and communicating the coverage calendar to provide support across campusLiaising with the ECP and LS directors to prioritize the greatest needsParticipate in school-wide professional developmentAttend necessary faculty meetings as available Support the transition to Extended Program after school hours Run Extended Program activities and support in a variety of areas with the students as neededOther duties as assignedRequirements / Preferences The successful candidate will have : Bachelor’s degree preferred Relevant teaching experience Spanish speakers highly encouragedEducators with preschool units encouraged CompensationHourly rate : $28 per hour
$30 per hour (depending on education).
This is a full-time hourly position from August 15, 2024
- June 18th, 2025, Monday
- Friday from 8 : 00 am
- 4 : 30 pm.
Excellent benefits are offered including medical, dental, vision, employer paid retirement plan, vacation pay, and paid holidays.
Hourly work would continue during school breaks (February Break, Winter Break, Spring Break) with the option of continuing work during Summer Break, in the camp capacity under the supervision of the Extended Program Director.
