Summary:
Responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing, and recommending changes in support of assigned applications/systems, including ongoing production maintenance and troubleshooting. Supports the planning, design, development, build and/or configuration of supported applications/systems; leads and/or coordinates conversions, application/system testing and documentation of system procedures; participates and provides input in training design and development and assists in training execution related to assigned projects; provides go-live support, and serves as primary point of contact for on-going production maintenance/support and troubleshooting. Participates in on-call/after-hours support schedule as defined within the Group. Serves as Team Leader or Project Manager for small to medium projects.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Coordinates the overall pharmacy functions of omnicells working with other departments to ensure user access, maintenance of drug database and machines. Understanding and competence is shown of all aspects of the Omnicell system with ability to inform pharmacy leadership of new or reoccurring issues, run reports on usage, adjust par levels as needed and staff when required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews Requests: Acknowledge service requests via Tivoli Service Request Manager (TSRM) including addition of new medications to data base, granting access for staff including new employees, and addressing user access issues. Monitoring communication from Badge Office regarding user issues.
- Maintenance of databases: Perform maintenance of Omnicell database due to Epic changes, drug availability, profiling requirements and other requests. Build new databases and pocket assignments as needed.
- Implementation/Troubleshooting: Coordinate with customers, BioMed, Materials Management and IT to install, set up and troubleshoot machines. Head up efforts to obtain equipment and coordinate repair of machines.
- Maintenance of CSM: Troubleshoot and configure medications in Omnicell Controlled Substance Management (CSM)
- Reporting: Produce on demand reports as needed for operational decision making. Maintain ongoing knowledge of types of reporting available through Omnicenter.
- Performance of Technician Duties: Maintain competence to perform all functions of Omnicell technicians with annual skills assessment to validate competency. Maintain consistent coverage for Omnicell technicians positions including BUD monitoring, usage reports and rearrangement of staff in coordination with manager. Maintain competency in all Technician III responsibilities.

WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 4 years work related experience Req
- Project management experience; Direct experience related to same or similar systems installed at Children's Req
EDUCATION
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience . Req
- Chemotherapy Course Completion (Pharmacy department specific) Pref
- 20 hour ACPE accredited IV training course (Pharmacy department specific) Req
- Graduate of accredited pharmacy technician training program (civilian or military) or equivalent (Pharmacy department specific) Req
- Enterprise App Analysts supporting Epic software must demonstrate competency in Epic software used in their role. All Epic training and testing applicable to the role must be successfully completed and passed within 180 days of employment. Continuing education requirements must be completed and maintained for applications applicable to the role. Req
