What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teacher position at Children's Learning Adventure?
Get Paid to Play - We are looking for Camp Counselors to supervise young campers and make sure they learn and have fun. Summers at CLA are filled with fun, learning, laughs, and endless memories!
We provide a full-day program five days a week for our school age campers. Safety is our number one priority, friendships are fostered, healthy lifestyles are encouraged and fun is unlimited.
What do Camp Counselors do?
The most important out of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. The job duties of a Camp Counselor include leading STEAM educational projects educating children and setting up equipment. Our curriculum and activities are preplanned.
Responsibilities:
- The Summer Camp Counselor leads planned activities, facilitates specialized classes, supervises games and projects, and maintains a safe, positive environment for youth ages 5-12
- Lead recreational and educational activities (Art, Science, Culinary, Technology and more)
- Educate campers through games and explorations
- Make sure all safety rules are followed
Skills
- Proven experience as Camp Counselor or similar role working with children
- Patient and reliable
- Organizational and communication skills
- A love for children
- Energetic and positive personality
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- First aid- and CPR-certified preferred
- High school diploma preferred
