Billing Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: Maintains agency’s billing system

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Discuss fees for services with clients/families

Verify Insurance coverage

Communicate with guardians regarding billing over the phone and in person

Follow up with guardians to obtain billing documentation

Suggest payment assistance programs for clients in need

Address and answer billing questions/issues.

Conduct annual billing redeterminations with clients/families

Collect and sort incoming payments

Upload confidentiality policies

Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Executive Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma

Proficient in Microsoft Office

An aptitude for customer service with excellent communication skills

Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities

Working knowledge of office equipment

A satisfactory criminal records check (BCI and FBI check)

Valid driver’s license and transportation with insurance
