The Community Partnership Schools Director develops, implements, directs and manages the Community Partnership School system of programs and support services. Overall, the Community Partnership Schools Director contributes to the CHS high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position CHS as the leader in delivering proactive behavioral health, case management, community and early childhood solutions for children and families.

Primary Job Functions

1. Develop, implement, direct and manage the Community Partnership School system of programs and support services.

  • Manage and oversee execution of a network of services within the school in partnership with school leadership.
  • Identify providers for service needs, which may include health services, extended learning programming, parent and community engagement services, etc.
  • Negotiate local collaborative service agreements and contracts in conjunction with school leadership.
  • Monitor service quality and resolve issues that arise with providers.
  • Develop and nurture positive relationships with school administrators and relevant community agencies to operationalize the partnership.
  • Participate in strategic planning with school and community partners.
  • Identify, develop and implement programming that supports the collective vision of Community Partnership Schools and outline and promote service direction.
  • Develop and market programs to increase educational opportunities and social connections for students.
  • Develop and enhance parent involvement in family room, class activities, and events, and connect them with resources when appropriate.
  • Ensure that the program meets all CHS, licensing, contractual, quality management and outcome standards and requirements.
  • Implement and manage the evaluation and reporting of statistics from each of the service areas.
  • Develop and regularly monitor the budget of each funding source and corresponding service array.
  • Coordinate billing and budgeting with the Finance Department.
  • Represent CHS and/or the community partnership school at pertinent meetings and functions, which may be held during evenings, weekends or holidays.
  • Oversee the hours of operation and supervision of the Community Partnership School.
  • Direct contract management activities for program and develop plan for sustainability.
  • Participate in fund-raising and grant writing activities.
  • Serve as a member of the region’s Management Team.
  • May directly transport or arrange for transportation of students.

2. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard TS, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

  • Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
  • Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results.
  • Coach, support and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
  • Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
  • Comply and confirm compliance with CHS code of conduct, policies, practices and other legal obligations.
  • Implementing policies and practices designed to prevent, recognize and respond to work-related stress.
  • Participate in succession planning to build the bench strength necessary for future talent needs.
  • Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
  • Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
  • Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.

 

Job Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in a Human Services, Education, or Social Work related field from an accredited university, required.
  • Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle, required.

Experience:

  • Five years of experience in children’s services, education, or community health, required.
  • Two years of program development and administration experience, preferred.
  • Local connections with School Board and/or school administrators, preferred.
  • Community engagement experience, preferred.

  • Implementing start up projects, including strategic planning and administrative skills
  • Computer systems and MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Identify children who may be at-risk of abuse or neglect.
  • Work with teachers and administrators in the education system
