This position assists in all aspects of the Goldin Food Pantry and the Goldin FRC program. It is a part-time (approx. 25 hours per week), year-round position. The hours are
Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and other hours including evenings.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Serve as driver for food donation pick-ups, deliver to COA sites, and assist with loading and unloading of the COA shuttle.
- Process food donations including documentation, proper storage, and proper inventory rotation.
- Assist with customer intake, data collection, data entry, record-keeping, etc. to ensure accurate and quantifiable measurement of program goals.
- Support quality program activities that are inclusive, welcoming, respectful and responsive to the diversity of participants, families and community.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Must have reliable access to a vehicle on workdays.
- Must be computer literate: able to use Word to create, edit and format documents and flyers as well as Excel to enter in and manipulate data
- Effective interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships
- Patience, positive customer service attitude, and cultural competency
- One year of experience in the field of human services preferred
- The physical requirements are the ability
- to sit and stand for long periods of time
- to push, pull and carry using arms and legs
- to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
