What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver position at ChildServe?
ChildServe is seeking a Driver/Transporter that will be responsible for the transportation of children and/or supplies as needed. This team member will also be responsible for light maintenance work when not driving/transporting.

What You'll Do
- Maintain a driving record that meets facility and insurance approval.
- Effectively coordinate with transportation coordinator regarding schedule to deliver supplies to ChildServe subsidiaries as needed and with inventory coordinator regarding unloading of supplies.
- Coordinate with supervisor to assist in providing timely transportation of residents to appointments. Must be knowledgeable of proper procedures for safely and securely transporting residents and follow those procedures at all times. Assure records are kept of all trips.
- Responsible for keeping vehicles fueled and ready for use. Keep vehicles clean. Maintains service records on all vehicles and coordinates with supervisor in scheduling outside maintenance.
- Perform light maintenance as needed and directed by supervisor while not transporting or driving.
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of experience driving a Class C vehicle
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information
- Ability to withstand exposure to the usual childhood diseases and conditions associated with children with disabilities
- Must be able to assist in physically loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and residents from vehicles.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, transfer, or otherwise move 35 pounds independently.
- Willing to obtain a CDL Class C license if needed in the future
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language
