Job Brief:
Chimcare is a fast growing, multi-branch, home service company specializing in chimney repair and maintenance. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist whose primary responsibilities will be focusing on the overall AR function including invoicing, collection, payment application and light HR administration. This is a corporate office-based position supporting a multi-branch organization.
An Accounting Specialist’s responsibilities include keeping accurate records of all invoicing, collections credit memos’, handling payroll tasks as required and assisting with preparing tax documents as needed.
Ultimately, you will ensure that invoices get paid and clients make good on their promises by keeping accurate records of both uncollected debts from customers.
Accounting Specialist responsibilities include:
- Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly and annual activities
- Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, invoices and receipts
- Using documents to verify, record and process transactions
- Speak with Internal and External customer and vendors as required to ensure charges are accurate, and payments are received promptly
- Communicate with clients to discuss account statuses, charges or discrepancies
- Participate in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments
- Process payroll
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new methods for the Payment Application process by improving internal processes and creating/ implementing time saving processes including tracking tools.
- Troubleshoot and research disputes on customer accounts while providing customer service.
- Assist customers that call in regarding their account status and collections
Requirements and skills
- 2 years of experience in an office accounting role
- Service Titan experience a high preference
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Gmail, and Excel
- Construction background... Basic industry understanding as it pertains to office administration.
- Comfortable with customer service and clear communication
- Self-motivated able to work independently and with others
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
