What job are we baking:
All Chip City associates should be Courteous, Happy, Informative & Precise. A Team Leader is responsible for directing a team of Counter Staff and Shift Leads to assist customers in their shopping needs. Their duties include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training store employees. As well as taking inventory of products, placing orders, and helping the team handle customer questions or complaints. We work as a team to accomplish our daily goals.
Your bakery duties:
- Develops a team that is knowledgeable about Chip City products and delivers excellent customer service
- Trains new employees and provides ongoing education for employees
- Motivates the team to deliver results in sales, upselling, loyalty program enrollments, Chip City app downloads, email marketing enrollments, and more
- Evaluates staff based on performance-based metrics
- Undertakes store administration duties such as creating schedules, validating payroll, calculating meal beak compliance, and bank deposits
- Leads quality control and holds team accountable to standards
- Closely monitors inventory levels and order items accordingly
- Ensures store compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicates any issues or feedback to District Manager/General Manager and Upper Management
- Performs other duties as assigned
Your main ingredients:
- 1 year or more of supervisory experience in Food Service/Hospitality
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly
- Knowledgeable about company's products and services, and customer-related policies
- Food Handlers Certification or be willing to complete (In Required Areas)
- Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and working on cash register or related equipment.
- Ability to navigate a bakery, stockroom, office, and lift up to 30 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
- Ability to work in a high-temperature environment with commercial ovens
- May need to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
