Job Summary:
As an Labd Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to accurately measure and map various oil and gas facilities and infrastructure, as well as Topographic maps and other related services.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe execution of projects, providing valuable data to support engineering, construction, and maintenance operations. This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Surveying using specialized equipment and software to capture accurate and detailed measurements of oil and gas facilities, including pipelines, tanks, platforms, and other infrastructure.
Process and analyze survey data to create precise 3D models, point clouds, and maps.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, project managers, and field personnel to integrate survey data into various projects and workflows.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout survey operations.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on survey methodologies, equipment selection, and best practices.
Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Prepare comprehensive survey reports, including data analysis, recommendations, and visual representations of survey results.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in surveying technology and industry practices to drive continuous improvement.
Oversee the workflow, and performance of the Survey Technician(s)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field (preferred).
Licensed Land Surveyor (RLS/PLS)
Proven experience as an Land Surveyor in the oil and gas industry (Preferred).
Proficiency in using remote laser scanning equipment, software (e.g., TBC, AutoCAD, etc.), and surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS).
Strong understanding of surveying principles, data processing, and 3D modeling techniques.
Knowledge of oil and gas facilities, infrastructure, and related industry standards (preferred).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross- functional teams.
Safety-oriented mindset with a commitment to following best practices and regulations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to work a varying schedule, in all terrains, and in inclement weather.
Must be able to pass a DOT drug screening prior to beginning work, as well as quarterly random drug test if chosen.
Wage:
This is an hourly exempt position. Pay rate and benefits DOE.
