Chipset21 is looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Stafford, VA.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, including but not limited to refrigeration units, pumps, compressors, fans, motors, and other electrical components.
- Perform routine maintenance procedures on equipment.
- Perform complex repairs as required.
- Inspect and test equipment for functionality.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
- Maintain work areas by cleaning, organizing, and following safety guidelines.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Complete documentation in accordance with company guidelines.
Education Experience: High school diploma or GED required with five to seven years of related experience preferred. College degree preferred with one to three years of related experience preferred.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Work in confined spaces such as a small space or attic space which may be hot, cold or wet depending on weather conditions. Repetitive motions are required on a regular basis.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, controls or controls objects over long distances and small amounts of liquid or gasses. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl in order to reach where needed to do the above work duties. The employee must occasionally hear sounds above normal level which may be loud or soft and must be able to distinguish between them.'
