Chipton-Ross is seeking a Buyer for an opening in Calhoun, GA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor daily all SAP action messages and respond accordingly.
Plan, create and release production orders to create a production schedule, working with the Production Supervisors to ensure capacity is not exceeded and work centers do not run "dry"
Monitor inventory levels of critical raw materials and packaging
Release planned purchase orders for required raw materials and packaging and communicate to suppliers
Monitor all open purchase orders and maintain expected receipt dates in SAP
Ensure accurate receipt of all open purchase orders in SAP
Maintain all assigned raw material and packaging file records in the item master file
Primary contact for suppliers for the Calhoun plant. Establish and maintain consistent communication channels to ensure vendor performance and address plant specific concerns. Report on supplier performance to Corporate Supply Chain management and escalate issues as needed for resolution
Provide subject matter expertise and collaborate in Group (Bostik, Inc./business unit) SAP processes as appropriate.
Comply with all plant safety requirements and maintain good housekeeping practices
Maintains a strong working relationship with all plant personnel, internal and external customers to minimize issues and collectively address problems
Assists with Cycle Count Program and inventory management
Practice Safe work habits in accordance with OSHA, EPA guidelines, and Bostik specific EHS expectations
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong Experience using SAP as a buyer or planner required
Ability to self-direct work and processes
Demonstrate strong attention to details and analytical skills
Demonstrate competency with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to manage competing priorities
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
EDUCATION:
BS in a related field or AS degree and 2-3 years of practical experience, or 3-5 years experience and CPIM certified
