Job Posting for Data Center Design Architect at Chipton-Ross
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Center Design Architect in our Long Beach, CA facility. This is a one-project consultant position, not a full time role.
Very flexible hours including evenings, weekends and working remote.
Responsibilities:
Assess our current facility and feasibility of expansion initiatives.
Optimize cage and sever rack layout in several server rooms for current needs and future expansion.
Provide functional, technical, and architectural recommendations.
Derive cost estimates and schedules for recommended implementations.
Preferred Experience:
5 years of work experience in data center design, construction, operations, and maintenance or similar experience in mission critical and/or technical facility projects.
Strong knowledge in architectural design, site planning, cooling and electrical systems and project delivery processes needed to support our current and future expansion efforts.
Electrical Engineering and HVAC Expert
Knowledge of industry compliance standards and service agreements.
Completion of at least 2-3 similar enterprise-level data center projects.
CAD Design capability a plus but not required.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
