As an Information Systems and Help Desk Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting and assisting in the management of the School's information systems and Help Desk. This internship offers an opportunity to learn about database management, data analysis, systems administration, Help Desk support, and Information Technology in an educational setting.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. ID/Credentials Processing: Assist in the verification and processing of incoming ID credentials. Accurately input and update data; perform quality checks on processed information and rectify any errors. Requesting additional information or clarification when needed.
  2. Database Management: Assist in maintaining and updating the school's databases, ensuring accuracy and security.
  3. Help Desk Support: Provide in-person, phone, and chat assistance via Microsoft Teams for troubleshooting computer problems.
  4. Assistance in projects: Contribute to special projects related to information system improvements or upgrades.

 

Secondary Duties:

  1. System Support: Aid in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of information systems and software applications. This includes but is not limited to credential creation.
  2. Computer Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications. This includes but is not limited to mass configuration of iPads and Macs (labeling, inventorying, deploying).
  3. User Support: Work in tandem with the Help Desk and Support team to provide support to students, staff, and faculty as it pertains to Information Systems’ access or School technology usage. This may include traveling across campus for on-site support..

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of information systems, databases, and computer applications.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools or software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
