Pay Rate: $14.50/hr. Shift: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM Job Purpose or Objective(s): Environmental Services Staff is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness and professional appearance of the assigned facilities.
Primary Tasks:
Clean rest rooms and work areas.
Clean floors to include sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Apply cleaning solvents to clean rooms or work areas; moving or lifting objects to do so.
Pick up trash, empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays; transport trash and waste to disposal area.
Wash windows and sills, door panels, walls, ceiling and woodwork.
Stock and organize coolers.
Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department when necessary.
Expected to take initiative to immediately clean or correct problem areas.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
General knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances
Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions and information
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools
Understand government public health regulations
Ability to be on feet 6 hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
No experience required
TARGET
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic repair, and maintenance
Ability to be on feet 6 hours per shift
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Acquire and maintain the following licenses: UST Operator Class C, Food Handler Certification, Forklift Operator Certification, UTV Operator Training and Oklahoma Able License
Prior environmental services experience preferred.
