Job Summary
The primary function of the Administrative Specialist is to provide clerical and administrative support to the
branch. Serves as the first point-of-contact for the branch, employees, referral sources, patients, and caregivers.
Job Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate (College Preferred).
Experience: One-year general office experience preferred.
Skills: Computer skills preferred, excellent interpersonal and organizational skill. Knowledge of medical
terminology preferred.
Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current auto liability insurance.
Environmental /Working C onditions: Performs duties in an office environment during Agency operating
hours. Works in a routine office environment; noise level may be moderately high; must have the ability to
work a flexible schedule and extended hours if necessary.
Essential Functions Evaluation
1. Assists with communications which may include phone system, email, answers incoming
calls, documents, and disseminates appropriate messages.
2. Serves as primary contact in obtaining supplies/services from office vendors such as
biohazard waste, shredding, record storage, office supplies, printed materials.
3. Processes incoming and outgoing mail, including vendor invoices.
4. Performs monthly company car inspections, as assigned.
5. Updates the Emergency Preparedness Notebook timely for access by OnCall staff members.
6. Provides excellent customer service, along with a can-do, willing attitude.
7. Provides computer support and data entry, as needed.
8. Assist in the uploading of documents into the EMR, as directed by the Branch Director.
9. Promotes the company culture, values, and mission by presenting a positive image to those
we serve, including patients, families, physicians, vendors and community agencies in word,
action, and appearance.
10. Provides effective communication to patient/family, team members, and other health care
professionals and maintains confidentiality.
