Maintenance Technician

Choice Properties has a great career opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to work within all aspects of maintenance for a manufactured home community in the Decatur, IL area under the direction of the Community Manager.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day management of maintenance technicians
  • Repair and remodel of manufactured homes
  • Makes carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs (Refurbing homes part of work load)
  • Daily collaboration with Property Manager to complete daily tasks
  • Supervision of vendors and contractors
  • Obtaining quotes for outside work through contractors and vendors
  • Completing home inspections
  • Obtaining materials needed for work orders and other community tasks
  • Completes resident occupied work orders in a timely manner
  • Snow plowing/mowing
  • Maintaining property appearance/curb appeal and all other tasks needed for job completion.

Qualifications:

- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE

- Skilled in carpentry, plumbing, flooring, drywall, HVAC, electrical

- Strong in teamwork, customer service and communication skills

- Highly motivated – self starter

- Must be willing to be on call

- Previous experience in property maintenance/rehab required

- Must be able to work in extreme hot & cold weather

**Position requires clear driving record, clear drug and physical check and clear criminal background check. Competitive base salary plus bonus and commissions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
