The Information Technology (IT) Director evaluates, plans, and executes the changes or additions of processes, computer operations, and technical systems within existing infrastructure. The positions is responsible for assessing existing and new technologies to meet the needs of the organization. This position will partner with senior leadership to develop a vision and drive information technology strategies across the organization critical to cost-effective operations and long-term strategic success. In conjunction with the COO, this position also establishes IT vision, objectives, action plans, policies and procedures, budgets, and standards to implement IT goals consistent with strategic and tactical objectives of each division and the corporation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates and executes external and internal IT strategies to ensure streamlined and effective business processes.
- Responsible for creating IT policies and procedures to ensure clear, concise, consistent understanding and usage of technology related solutions, in addition to maintaining security, accreditation and contractual requirements.
- Understands and conducts appropriate risk & threat assessments.
- Ensure that all IT systems and data are safe, secure and compliant with all applicable federal, state and local government regulations.
- Responsible for IT Disaster Recovery and Failover planning, implementation and testing.
- Oversees and implements new technologies/architectures that fulfill the strategic vision of the corporation.
- Consults with management staff to ensure technology needs are being met.
- Partners with senior leadership for hiring and recruitment within the information technology department, negotiation with suppliers and vendors, planning and analysis of cost, and preparing recommendations.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure that objectives and primary initiatives of the organization are attained.
- Manage computer resources to ensure IT systems are well-maintained and carefully protected, including data security, recovery, reliability, backups and management.
- Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Experience in a senior role resulting in development and implementation of information management, infrastructure, security, network and business process management strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, problem resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical, abstract reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence and auto insurance.
