What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead BI Engineer position at Choozle?

Choozle is looking for an individual that is eager to grow our business intelligence team to help us make data-driven decisions and better understand and serve our clients. As a Lead BI Engineer for Choozle, you will be responsible for operating as a thought leader, mentor, and individual contributor to continue to improve on our current BI work and help us further build out our capabilities and department.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3 years experience as a BI developer or engineer
  • Visualization experience (Looker preferred) 
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with excel 
  • Data modeling experience 
  • Bonus: Experience with Git for version control, collaboration and releases
  • Bonus: Experience with CI/CD, DevOps and ETL pipelines 
  • Bonus: Coding experience (Python preferred) 
  • Bonus: Experience with adtech

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build, curate, document and manage key datasets and ETLs to increase the impact of the data to the entire team and business 
  • Collaborate with sales, data science, data engineering and product to identify data sources, create queries/views, and determine dashboard and visualizations needs to serve internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with BI engineer(s) to create dashboards and visualizations 
  • Extract insights from the data to drive better decisions and better serve our clients
  • Present and explain how to interpret the data and make recommendations 
  • Mentor and guide our current data team and BI engineer 
  • Guide company to realize value of BI and improve decision making 

LOCATION Must be located or willing to relocate to Denver, CO

SALARY  $120,000-$140,000
