Position: Kitchen Expediter
Location: Chophouse Downtown, Cedar Rapids, IA
Hours: Part-Time (15-25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends)

Chophouse Downtown, a premier dining destination in Cedar Rapids, is currently seeking a proactive and organized Kitchen Expediter to enhance our kitchen operations. This role is ideal for college students who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced culinary environment while managing their studies.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the flow of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Act as a liaison between the kitchen staff and service team to improve communication and efficiency.
• Maintain clear and organized stations in the kitchen to facilitate expedited dish preparation.
• Verify the accuracy of orders against requisitions and recipes.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to meet service demands.
• Ensure all dishes meet our high standards for presentation and quality before being served.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and food.
• Goal-oriented and efficient, with a proven ability to follow recipes and service guidelines accurately.
• Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• ServSafe certification is a plus but not required.
