Digital Communications Coordinator

Position Summary
Christ Church is hiring a part-time Digital Communications Coordinator to help our team create a welcoming and engaging presence on all appropriate digital communications platforms.
We are looking for a person who takes seriously their own faith journey; who welcomes the opportunity to assume a vital role within our leadership team, helping to expand, develop, and coordinate the church’s digital presence. The successful candidate will work with a team of church leaders, both professional and volunteer, to manage content for our social media presence. While working arrangements are flexible, it will require an average of 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate overall effectiveness and user engagement for all Christ Church social media platforms and website. This will include reviewing and responding to user feedback.
- Build email and social media campaigns to stay relevant with the target audience.
- Develop content submission guidelines to ensure uniform branding across all platforms.
- Specific tasks include, but are not limited to, managing the Christ Church United
Methodist website and social media presence
- Advising on email marketing and podcast development.
- Collaborating with church employees and various content creators to showcase the many programs, services and ministries of the church.
Qualifications
- A history of successfully managing professional social media platforms
- Background and experience in digital communications design
- Knowledge of best practices to engage and retain user interest and involvement including search engine optimization (SEO)
- Examples of prior work that demonstrate skill and expertise
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of a variety of digital communications platforms
- A basic knowledge of Christian values and appreciation for the value of the church to the community
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
Hours & Compensation
- Part-time/10 hrs/week
- $20 per hour
