POSITION Summary:
To provide strategic leadership, pastoral care and guidance to the women’s ministries programs and the women of Christ Church. She will oversee the development and training of the Women’s Ministry Leadership and will supervise the program development and event planning as determined by the leadership teams at each campus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vision and Strategy: To articulate a vision and ministry strategy for women’s ministries that aligns with the vision and mission of Christ Church. To oversee the development, planning and implementation of all programs and activities related to women’s ministries. To set priorities and oversee implementation. To strategically plan the next year, 3 years & 5 years.
Leadership Development: To oversee the development of the Women’s Ministries Leadership Team. To recruit, develop and shepherd the leadership team by training about Christian leadership, giving an example to follow, providing pastoral care, and helping them accomplish the tasks before them. To mentor, teach, and equip emerging ministry leaders with the Biblically-grounded skills they need to move into leadership roles.
Program Management/Development: To ensure the high quality and ongoing success of the programs serving women. These include (but are not limited to) Women’s Bible Studies, MOPS, Women@Work, The Gathering, Women’s Prayer Team, Christmas Event, Women’s Small Groups, Women’s Retreats, seminars/socials. These programs require outreach, volunteer recruitment, communications, and childcare program with volunteer coordination.
Staff Liaison: To serve as a liaison between church leadership and Women’s Ministries at each campus. To advocate for Women’s Ministries in staff settings.
Budget: To prepare and administer the budget for Women’s Ministries and to plan and monitor funds from all expense accounts related to Women’s Ministries (e.g. purchasing of supplies, equipment, teaching materials/resources).
Evaluate: To regularly evaluate the effectiveness of all Women’s Ministry programs, curriculum and activities and make changes appropriate for the growth of the ministry.
Marketing: To ensure broad congregational and community awareness of Women’s Ministry programs. To reach each woman in the congregation so that she is aware of her opportunities for growth and connection within women’s ministries.
Connection and Assimilation: To ensure that women visiting Christ Church are contacted and invited to greater participation in the life of the church. Works with the Connections ministry to implement pastoral church strategy for assimilating women at Christ Church.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Attends all required training and meetings (staff, one-on-one, team, etc.)
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor towards members, co-workers, vendors and guests
Adheres to all policies and procedures of Christ Church
Performs other duties as assigned
JOB-SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Three plus years involved in women’s ministry as a paid staff or volunteer
Strong Christian faith and biblical foundation. Principle centered.
Spends time daily in prayer and study
Able to effectively teach God’s word to leaders and other participants in women’s ministry
Is current with ministry trends, especially as it relates to women
Is actively involved in the life of the church
Able to spiritually counsel and direct women as needed through pastoral care
Proven ministry leader and strategic thinker
Effective communicator and encourager-both written and oral
Very strong organization and management expertise
Task oriented. Motivated and energized by achieving results
Effective team leader and builder
