OPPORTUNITY
The Supervisor of Billing manages pharmacy billing services, including, billing to correct payer sources, private pay statements, customer inquiries, and collections. Acts as a liaison between the Pharmacy and communities regarding Pharmacy billing. Ensures pharmacy billing procedures comply with all applicable government regulations. He/she will hire, train and evaluate the performance of team members.

Responsibilities
- Implements key strategic initiatives to build and improve upon all aspects of the pharmacy revenue cycle including training, reporting, and documentation.
- Completes and oversees daily billing activity reports, identifies errors, and coaches staff performing tasks on proper procedures and processes.
- Develops and oversees Pharmacy procedures to assure that all financial reporting required by the ministry is delivered accurately, balanced, and timely.
- Assures accurate billing to all payers including all prior authorization requests.
- Investigates, completes, and submits all third-party audits as directed.
- Investigates all resources of revenue to maximize benefit.
- Prepares month-end, quarterly and annual reports for Director of Pharmacy as needed.
- Serves as subject matter expert on all Pharmacy department software and programs, including DocuTrack, Frameworks, AccPac, Point Click Care (PCC).
- Works collaboratively with Director of Pharmacy to review and maintain all third-party pricing table within Pharmacy software.
- Organizes and maintains all billing records necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
- Three (3) years in pharmacy or medical billing.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Current driver’s license, auto insurance, and dependable transportation.
Desired
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field.
- Certification in coding or as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Illinois.
- Experience with Frameworks and DocuTrack.
