Mayor Gifts Officer

The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for managing donor recruitment, development, cultivation, and solicitation of Major Gifts ($1000 ) of CRSC affiliates via multi-channels (direct mail and online) with an emphasis on cultivation and stewardship of individual donors, family foundations, and community foundations. The Major Gifts officer utilizes proposals and personalized communications as well as direct mail, social media, and online giving platforms to support the acquisition, engagement, and solicitation of major gifts. The Major Gifts officer monitors donors' moves management, performance, and program areas of interest.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Steward and grow a portfolio of major donors ($1000 );
• Meet minimum annual unrestricted and restricted fundraising goals.
• Directs strategy development for major giving campaigns.
• Develop innovative ways to engage major donor prospects and donors and manage related moves management processes
• Actively work to achieve goals related to substantive contacts, proposal submissions, and stewardship-related communications.
• Track quantitative and qualitative campaign results and compile relevant reports for management, including the development of a pipeline report for weekly updates.
• Track all major gifts engagement via the constituent management system.
• Assist in the development and execution of fundraising events to support major giving.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of progressively increasing development experience with a demonstrated track record of ability to solicit and steward gifts of $1000 and more.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with strong writing and presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of CRM software
• Experience with Blackbaud preferred
