The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a sharp, creative, and highly motivated person to join our award-winning in-house production team. Christie's videos are part of the brand's editorial content mix, and range from stories about incredible artworks, documentary-style films and interviews with experts to trailers, ads, and social media clips.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- Produce long and short-form content for Christie’s web and social media platforms
- Ensure projects are on time, on budget and on brand;
- Manage a number of Portfolios (internal art departments), act as the lead producer and the point person for assigned Portfolios
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders within your Portfolios, advise on the best course of action, flag potential issues and offer solutions; maintain creative responsibility for a project
- Take briefs from stakeholders and work with Sr. Producer to respond with creative treatments, timelines and costs.
- Develop stories, conduct research, prepare interview questions, write scripts
- Collaborate with art specialists, marketing managers, press and editorial teams to identify stories, determine deadlines, and ensure alignment
- Organize shoots, create filming schedules, identify equipment needs, book crew and editors
- Produce and direct on set
- Post-produce: prepare edit assets, give editors comprehensive briefing, review rough cuts
- Comply with copyright and licensing regulations, obtain clearances, track approvals
- QC all final deliverables before publishing
- Delegate tasks to AP, Production Coordinator, and PA when appropriate
- Assign projects to freelance producers as needed while remaining the point person and advisor for the Portfolio stakeholders
- Work with Senior Producer to create holistic content plans for your Portfolios and develop evergreen content ideas
The Candidate
- 5 years of experience in film/video production
- Agency and field production experience required
- A diverse portfolio that includes narrative and visually driven content
- Proven ability to create video content from inception to completion
- Previous experience working with art, culture, luxury, or lifestyle brands strongly preferred
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail are essential
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Knowledge of camera and lighting equipment
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and PowerPoint
- An understanding of the strategic value of film
- Understanding of social media formats and trends
- Ability to work after hours and on weekend during the busy season
- Interest in art and culture
