What are the responsibilities and job description for the All Kitchen Staff position at Christmount?

Dishwasher

Qualifications

-Preferred dishwasher or any previous work experience

-No previous experience or education required

Task/Duties

Breakfast

- Start up dishwasher

- Assist Prep Cook in filling up ice

- Check tables and floors for cleanliness

- Put out condiments and refill as necessary

- Check silverware and dishes, make sure appropriate dishes out for meal

- Check napkins and paper towel dispensers

- Wash dishes

After Breakfast

- Finish washing dishes

- Check bathrooms and trashcans

- Wipe down tables and chairs

- Spot sweep and mop if necessary

Lunch

- Assist Prep Cook in filling up ice

- Put out condiments and refill as necessary

- Check silverware and dishes, make sure appropriate dishes out for meal

- Check napkins and paper towel dispensers

- Wash dishes

After Lunch

- Finish washing dishes

- Wipe down and clean off dish pit area, sweep dish pit area, check trash.

- Check bathrooms

- Wipe down tables and chairs

- Spot sweep and mop if necessary

- Assist in taking out trash and recycling if necessary

- Turn off dishwashing machine

Dinner

- Turn on dishwasher

- Assist Prep Cook in filling up ice

- Put out condiments and refill as necessary

- Check silverware and dishes, make sure appropriate dishes out for meal

- Check napkins and paper towel dispensers

- Wash dishes

After Dinner

- Finish washing dishes

- Wipe down and clean off dish pit area, sweep dish pit area, check trash.

- Check bathrooms

- Wipe down tables and chairs

- Spot sweep and mop if necessary

- Assist in taking out trash and recycling if necessary

- Turn off and empty dishwashing machine

Additional Task

- Laundry

- Assist in inventory, ordering, and restocking of cleaning and disposable supplies

- Assist in misc. and scheduled cleaning task

Prep Cook

Qualifications

- Preferred previous work as dishwasher or in fast food prep

- No previous experience required

Task/Duties

Breakfast

- Fill up ice dispenser and salad bar (or bins for fruit and yogurt if no lunch)

- Set out cereal, instant oatmeal, and breads

- Prep fresh cut fruit and put on salad bar with whole fruit

- Set out yogurts and milk on salad bar

- Set up dishwashing machine (if no dishwasher scheduled)

- Periodically check salad buffet during meal for refills

After Breakfast

- Take in fruits, milks, and yogurts making sure they are dated properly

- Put up cereal, instant oatmeal, and breads in cabinets or dry storage

Lunch

- Prep salad bar items and fresh vegetables to be cooked for lunch

- Prep dessert or snacks if any

- Check ice levels in salad bar and ice dispenser

- Periodically check salad buffet during meal for refills

After Lunch

- Either put lids on salad bar containers or put back on salad cart and roll into fridge (if no dinner).

- Wipe down salad bar, sweep around salad bar, and empty drip bucket into rain barrel.

Dinner

- Check ice levels and refill as necessary

- Prep salad bar items and fresh vegetables to be cooked for dinner

- Prep dessert

- Periodically check salad buffet during meal for refills

After Dinner

- Pull items from salad bar, put lids on, and make sure all are labeled correctly

- Empty ice from salad bar and empty drip bucket into rain barrel

-Wipe down salad bar, sweep around salad bar and mop/ spot mop if needed.

Assistant Cook

Qualifications

- Preferred previous line cook experience

- Required previous restaurant/fast food experience, or salad/vegetable prep experience or high school/college culinary class

Task/Duties

Breakfast

- Put all required cooking items in oven

- Mix or set out drinks

- Make coffee(s)

- Check silverware and put out condiments (if no dishwasher)

- Assist Lead Cook with main dishes

- Pan up food items, put in hot pass thru or holding, and then put on buffet.

- Assist in serving if necessary

- Periodically check buffet during meal for refills

After Breakfast

- Pull food off line

- Put up leftovers and label appropriately

- Assist in putting up dishes after cleaned

- Wipe down hot bar and sweep around buffets

- Put up Juices and/or Coffees

Lunch

- Cook any soups on menu

- Cook side dishes

- Put out/make tea and/or lemonade

- Put out/check condiments (if no dishwasher)

- Cook/ put out breads

- Pan up food items, put in hot pass thru or holding, then put on buffet.

- Assist Lead Cook in task

- Periodically check buffet during meal for refills

After Lunch

- Pull food off line

- Put up leftovers and label appropriately

- Assist in putting up dishes after cleaned

- Wipe down hot bar and sweep around buffets

- Put up Tea and Lemonade if no dinner

Dinner

- Cook any soups on menu

- Cook side dishes

- Put out/make tea and/or lemonade

- Put out/check condiments (if no dishwasher)

- Cook/ put out breads

- Pan up food items, put in hot pass thru or holding, then put on buffet.

- Pan up/pull food items to thaw for next day

- Assist Lead Cook in task

- Periodically check buffet during meal for refills

After Dinner

- Pull food off line

- Put up leftovers and label appropriately

- Assist in putting up dishes after cleaned

- Wipe down hot bar and sweep around buffets and mop or spot mop if necessary

- Put up Tea and Lemonade.

- Check bathrooms (if no dishwasher)

- Assist take out trash

- Dummy lock and turn out lights in cooler and freezer

Additional Task

- Assist in misc. and scheduled cleaning

- Assist in putting up stock

- Assist in inventory

Lead Cook

Qualifications

- Preferred previous restaurant experience and some sort of culinary education.

- Required previous assistant cook and or fast-food experience.

Task/Duties

Breakfast

- Make sure all equipment is turned on, up, and running appropriately

- Check menu for allergies and/or special diet needs

- Cook main course and stove top side items

- Pan up food items, put in hot pass thru or holding, then put on buffet.

- Turn on lights and unlock doors (if you are supervisor)

- Help serve buffet if necessary and serve special diet items

- Double check set up before patrons arrive

- Cook necessary refill items during meal

After Breakfast

- Assist in pulling food off line

- Record food intake

- Assist in putting up dishes after washed

- Sweep kitchen, check trash, and make sure all prep surfaces are wiped down, clean and sanitized.

Lunch

- Check menu for allergies and/or special diet needs

- Cook main course and stove top side items.

- Assist Assistant Cook in necessary task

- Pan up food items, put in hot pass thru or holding, then put on buffet.

- Help serve buffet if necessary and serve special diet items

- Double check set up before patrons arrive.

- Cook necessary refill items during meal

After Lunch

-Assist in taking out trash and recycling

-Make sure all equipment is turned off

-Turn off lights, lock doors, and adjust thermostat appropriately (if you are supervisor)

- Assist Director in food and event planning when asked

Pay: $8.00 - $14.00 per hour
