Christwood is seeking an LPN, PRN, for Assisted Living and Longleaf Cognitive Care.
Job Summary
LPN assists in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment in accordance with resident needs and health center philosophy. Provides care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies. Assists with evaluation of the nursing process on the unit and proves input regarding needed or desired changes. Supervises daily functions of the unit, from employee supervision to delivery of resident care. Assists in the training, supervision and ongoing in-service education of nursing service personnel. Assists in the performance evaluation of nursing personnel. Maintains documentation which accurately and completely records data pertaining to the resident’s care, condition and treatment. Participates as a member in the service plan and care conference in developing a total plan of care and in communicating that plan to staff caring for the resident. Protects the resident, his privacy and his property. Attends in-services and continuing education programs to improve knowledge and skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must possess a current Louisiana Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sits and stand during most of the workday. Walks long and short distances. Heavy lifting, pulling and pushing greater than 150 pounds with assistance.
